Is the private intro class really free?
Yes — 100% free. No strings, no catches. The private one-on-one intro class at Unity Taekwondo is on us so you and your child can experience it before deciding anything.
What age can my child start?
From age 4 in U-Star, all the way through teens and adults. Our youngest students are 4-year-olds in a class built entirely around their energy and attention span.
What should my child wear?
Comfortable athletic clothes — track pants, shorts, a t-shirt. No uniform, no special gear. Bring a water bottle. A dobok (uniform) comes later if they join.
How long is the intro class?
About 45–60 minutes depending on the age group. Arrive about 10 minutes early and they'll feel settled before it starts.
Does my child need any experience?
Zero. Almost every student starts as a complete beginner. If they can run and listen, they're ready.
Can I watch?
Absolutely — parents are always welcome and encouraged to stay for the entire session.
What if my child isn't ready for group classes?
That's exactly why the intro class is private and one-on-one. We use it to see whether your child is ready for our group classes — and we'll be honest with you. If they're not quite ready yet, we don't push them into a group; we help them get there with private lessons until they're comfortable and confident enough to join. No child is ever thrown in the deep end.
Your move. We're ready.
